Testing your Mesh connected IP Telephone
Attached to my mesh network is a Grandstream 1630 IP telephone. It has an added "audio in" jack, connected to a weather radio. This 1630 is set to auto answer after the first ring; you should then hear the National Weather Service.
IP calling
Call from your mesh IP phone, dialing the following IP address of my 1630:
10.16.139.195
Note: to IP call on the 1600 series Grandstream phones:
*Press the Menu button (center button of the circular navigation array)
*Arrow down until you see "Direct IP Call", press the Menu button again
* Enter the IP address (example:)
10*16*139*195*Press "OK" and the phone will dial the number.
PBX calling
if you are connected to the NC8Q PBX, you can also reach this 1630 by dialing extension:
1011
If you want to have a voice conversation with someone, call my main Mesh phone:
